XO Invite: Letter from Ross Krempley

XO Invite: Letter from Ross KrempleyWell, here we are almost a week out and things are still buzzing from this year's XO Invite. This one will be hard to top, but we will try our best to do it better next year!

This year's meet had a rough start, to say the least, with the late announcement of the date, the crunched Oregon high school schedule and all the other amazing meets on the same weekend, so many people had to step up to make this meet happen. Without hundreds of people coming together fighting for a common goal, this meet would NEVER happen! Nike, Oregon, Lane, CVALCO, the OTC and the other sponsors came up huge and the officials and staff worked their butts off to produce a meet to be proud of!

Meet records were set in twenty different events, some having multiple record breakers, countless state-leading marks were scored, and Year 4 became an unforgettable memory.

Thank you all for your support and kind words before and after this meet.

It truly is what keeps us going! I had to paste this email from an anonymous coach:

"I have been involved with running and coaching for over forty years and this was the best meet I have attended, by far. You have taken track and field to the next level and it needs to move to that next level. The organization was right on and the atmosphere magical."
