Bob Schul at the Eugene Running Company
 5K Olympic gold medal winner Bob Schul will appear at our store 3:30 p.m. on Sunday June 10th following the Prefontaine Classic where he is this years special guest. He will be doing a book signing for his new book "In the Long Run."
In addition to being the last American to win the Olympic gold medal in the 5K he was also the last American to hold the world record in the two mile.
The photo above shows him at the finish of the Olympic 5K. The bronze medal winner in that race is Bill Dellinger, former track & field coach of the Oregon Ducks.
