We invite you to join Coach Colleen Wedin and Coach Lindsey Taylor and the Eugene Running Company’s 2017 Eugene Marathon/ Half-Marathon Team
Join us as we prepare for the Eugene Marathon and Half-Marathon held this year on May 7th 2017 (or any Spring marathon/half-marathon). This Team is for beginners and advanced marathoners/ half-marathoners. Group members enjoy the support and motivation of being part of a marathon team. Throughout the 18-week program, members will receive a training schedule, expert coaching advice and guidance, and group long runs with aid stations. Participants also receive free team uniform shirts, store discounts, and access to special guests.
Runners who are looking to improve their overall performance or qualify for Boston or New York have the option of following an advanced/performance-oriented training program. This includes speed work, higher mileage, and specific long runs.
The group is open to runners of all abilities, but we do ask that you have completed a long run of at least 6 miles before beginning the marathon training in January 9th (4 miles for half-marathon runners). This is a running only marathon and half-marathon training program with a marathon cut-off goal time of 6:00.
Lindsey Taylor and Colleen Wedin are experienced marathon coaches who have been coaching all distances up to marathon. They have run several self-coached marathons, half marathons, and ultra marathons and are both Boston Marathon qualifiers. The group meets at the Eugene Running Company every Saturday at 7:30 AM starting January 7th. Come to ask questions and try out the group! Cost is $125 for 4 months of training for Eugene Marathon or $85 for 4 months of training for the Eugene Half Marathon.
